About Jeff Peterson

Jeff’s education, training, and experience have culminated in Percipient Law PLLC, and he is honored to have the privilege of serving businesses, sole proprietors, and entrepreneurs in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from college, Jeff began his career as a Financial Analyst in Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division. He worked in the heart of Silicon Valley, where he gained invaluable experience in the world of corporate finance and technology.

After the tragic events of September 11, Jeff joined the Army and earned his commission as a Second Lieutenant. Jeff was the Distinguished Leadership Graduate of his Infantry Officer Basic Course, and he successfully completed Ranger School, Airborne School, and Air Assault School. While assigned to 2d Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, he deployed to Iraq for 15 months. Jeff returned to Fort Drum, New York and received an honorable discharge for his loyal service.

Then, Jeff enrolled in Stanford Law School, and after graduation, Jeff moved to Portland, Oregon to begin his legal career. Jeff represented clients in commercial disputes, and he litigated numerous cases in state and federal court, where he achieved great results for his clients. He also represented clients in mediations, arbitrations, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Jeff has since switched his practice from litigation to business law. The skills Jeff developed as a financial analyst, infantry officer, and litigator serve him well as a business attorney. Jeff has an unwavering commitment to excellence, a sharp attention to detail, and strong leadership skills. He has helped his clients resolve numerous legal issues, ranging from entity formation, governing documents, executive compensation, employment agreements, commercial leases, license agreements, promissory notes, loan agreements, and more.

When Jeff is not working, he enjoys camping, snowboarding, hiking, dining out, reading, and spending time with his spouse and their two kids.
